Stay (End)
I just finished the book I posted about last Sunday about Clara. I just finished it and it was very sad. Her boyfriend through the whole thing was tracking her. He was so obsessed with the thought of being with her forever and got so caught up about who she would move onto next. He thought that she was mentally going to leave him for somebody else, and that scared him. he felt that if he didn't have anybody to be controlling of, he had no importance. He tracked them to she as staying with her father. Also, I found out why her father was os afraid of the water. He had lied about how her mother had died. Her father had had n affair with another woman, and suddenly had called his found with his wife off. found ha found at him and then ran into the ocean in a boat and was never seen again. He doesn't want to touch the water because he feel that it swallowed up his wife so he doesn't want to be a part of it.
I feel that what Clara's dad did was wrong. He cheated on his wife and then broke it off with her suddenly after telling her. H knew that his wife was a fragile woman, and knew that she would take it back. I also feel that she might have been a little emotionally unstable if she ran into the ocean in a storm on a small rowing boat. She also had a 2 year old daughter (Clara) to look after, and just abandoned her. I think they both have some faults on their sides. I think that it was her dad's fault to cheat on his wife in the first place and I think that maybe his wife should've thought about it before she actually committed suicide. For the boyfriend, I personally think he had a disorder that made him overly obsessed with a person and that he needed medication to help him.

Celia,
This post is so good! I liked how you looked at both sides of the relationship with Clara's parents, and didn't just say how it was only one of their faults. I agree with you completely. Even though Clara's father obviously shouldn't have cheated on his wife, Clara's mother completely left her baby daughter. I also really like how you analysed Clara's boyfriend. That was really good.
Good job explaining the characters and different views of the story. It sounds like a very complicated book but interesting. What the parents are doing according to your blog are very bad and I completely agree with you.
That was a really good post! I like how you added your opinion. I agree that what Clara's dad did was wrong, and that Clara's boyfriend had a problem and needed help. This book sounds deep, but depressing.
