Sonnet [POWERLESS]

Covered in my sweet serendipity
Drenched in the power of the sounds
Unknown to invisibility
We blend into everything, but scream surrounds

Try to reach out, but fate pulls us deep down
Struggles to set free, names us as worthless
The drought we have faced forcefully drowns
Trying to breath, but above I'm breathless

We fly, though our wings are cut deeply
The men, deep voices, keep us from running
Traps us in pits of sadness swiftly
We try to overcome but it's numbing

The great sensation of helplessness
Gives us a prodding feeling of being powerless
